Anti-IL-2 In Vivo Antibody – Low Endotoxin (JES6-5H4) recognizes an epitope on Mouse IL-2
This monoclonal antibody was purified using multi-step affinity chromatography methods such as Protein A or G depending on the species and isotype.
Interleukin-2 (IL-2) is a potent T-cell mitogenic cytokine that functions as a primary regulator of T cell homeostasis and has been considered a prime candidate immunotherapeutics, both for increasing T cell levels/function and for augmenting vaccine-elicited viral-specific T cell responses. IL-2 plays a key role in setting the balance between immunity and tolerance. This cytokine has a dual role as the regulator of the two main phases of the immune response (proliferative and suppressive). IL-2 also stimulates growth and differentiation of B cells, NK cells, LAK cells, monocytes, and oligodendrocytes. The JES6-1A12 antibody has been shown to neutralize IL-2 in vivo.
