Background
This is the UC7-13D5 clone, an Armenian Hamster IgG monoclonal raised against the constant region of the mouse T cell receptor gamma/delta (gammadelta TCR). It reacts with mouse and is validated for flow cytometry, immunoprecipitation, and in vivo depletion, making it well suited to functional immunology studies that require identification, isolation, or in vivo removal of gammadelta T cells. Because it binds a shared constant determinant of the gammadelta TCR rather than a single Vgamma or Vdelta chain, it labels the broad gammadelta compartment across tissues. Supplied as a low-endotoxin (<1 EU/mg research grade; ultra-low <0.5 EU/mg option) preparation in bulk milligram-to-gram quantities, it is formatted for repeated in vivo dosing where endotoxin load and aggregate content matter for reproducibility and animal welfare. The Armenian Hamster IgG format is a common depleting/blocking scaffold in mouse work. This is a research-use-only reagent; all content here is guidance for ichorbio to review before publishing. Gammadelta T cells are an innate-like lymphocyte lineage whose antigen receptor pairs a gamma and a delta chain instead of the alpha/beta chains found on conventional T cells. They typically develop early in the thymus, are enriched at epithelial and mucosal barriers (skin, gut, lung, reproductive tract) and in secondary lymphoid tissue, and recognize ligands including stress-induced molecules, phosphoantigens, and lipids, often without classical MHC restriction. Functionally they bridge innate and adaptive immunity: they respond rapidly, produce IFN-gamma or IL-17, exert cytotoxicity, and shape antimicrobial defense, tissue repair, and tumor immunosurveillance. Distinct subsets are defined largely by their Vgamma chain usage and effector program. In mouse tumor and infection models, gammadelta T cells can be protective or, via IL-17, pro-tumorigenic, which makes selective in vivo depletion or tracking of the compartment a valuable experimental tool.
