Application Notes

Blocking: This antibody blocks the binding LFA-1 (CD11a/CD18) to ICAM-1. The antibody is suitable for studies of inflammation, lymphocyte differentiation, and lymphocyte activation. Each investigator should determine their own optimal working dilution for specific applications.

Background

ICAM-1 (CD54) is an endothelial and immune-cell adhesion molecule that binds LFA-1 to support leukocyte arrest, transmigration and immune-synapse stability during inflammation. Clone BE29G1 is a rat IgG2a monoclonal antibody to mouse ICAM-1, validated for immunoprecipitation, Western blot and blocking. Anti-mouse ICAM-1 BE29G1 is supplied in a low-endotoxin, in-vivo-suitable format and produced in scalable milligram (mg) to gram (g) quantities for bulk laboratories. As a non-therapeutic, research-use-only (RUO) reagent, BE29G1 offers consistent, reproducible results for studies of leukocyte adhesion and vascular inflammation in the mouse.
